About Andy Astbury

As well as taking photographs I teach photography at all levels and also specialise in digital workflow tuition and colour management. . how close were you to this magnificent animal Andy . what I am wondering is what lens did you use . . I know they are large and absolutely fearsome predators . your title makes me laugh . it is a fabulous shot . . your beautiful image is featured in :: Fine Art Photography :: http://fineartamerica.com/groups/dimensions.html http://fineartamerica.com/groups/fine-art-photography.html http://fineartamerica.com/groups/katze.html http://fineartamerica.com/groups/greeting-cards.html

Full frame image Sharon from a Nikon D3 500mm lens, so somewhere in the region of 10 to 15 yards away. If it had wanted to it could have been on top of me in no more than a couple of seconds. Mad I know! But it knew I was there and it wasn't particularly bothered - btw their breath stinks!
