Cwm Idwal and its lake,Llyn Idwal are towered over by the dark and menacing crags of Cloqwen y Geifr and Twll Du - The Devils Kitchen.
Llyn Idwal is said to be the scene of an ancient murder - that of Idwal, son of Owain, Prince of Wales; and that Idwals terrible fate is the reason why birds always fly around the lake but never over it.

I am a full-time Natural History and Wildlife photographer from Cheshire, in the North West UK. As well as taking photographs I teach photography at all levels and also specialise in digital workflow tuition and colour management. My passion is really for landscapes and seascapes together with macro photography and my beloved Norwegian Sea Eagles.
