As the sun rises a storm front approaches Colvend from the Lake District across the Solway Firth.

The tide is out at Colvend revealing the coarse sandy beach and the distant tidal mudflats, and the dawn sky is reflected in an isolated rock pool.

I am a full-time Natural History and Wildlife photographer from Cheshire, in the North West UK. As well as taking photographs I teach photography at all levels and also specialise in digital workflow tuition and colour management. My passion is really for landscapes and seascapes together with macro photography and my beloved Norwegian Sea Eagles.
