A low key black and white portrait format landscape featuring a very prominant angular rock in the close left foreground. The rock is sitting just at the waters edge of Derwent Water in the Lake District. The dark clouds in the sky appear to be rushing overhead and the water is very smooth and hazy. The viewers eye follows the line of the solitary rock across the water towards Cat Bells.

I am a full-time Natural History and Wildlife photographer from Cheshire, in the North West UK. As well as taking photographs I teach photography at all levels and also specialise in digital workflow tuition and colour management. My passion is really for landscapes and seascapes together with macro photography and my beloved Norwegian Sea Eagles. Although I am a bit of a "technique-freak" I strive to teach people that photography is, at the end of the day, a visual art form; and as such it's all about the final image, and that as long as you achieve the desired result, then there's no right or wrong way of getting there - just more, or less, efficient ways!
