A black and white image of a group of millstones lie abandoned at the site where they were carved by hand from the hard Millstone Grit of the Peak District.
Crepuscular rays illuminate the old hill fort of Carl Wark and Hathersage Moor while a curtain of rain can be seen falling on Totley Moor in the far distance.
About Andy Astbury
I am a full-time Natural History and Wildlife photographer from Cheshire, in the North West UK. As well as taking photographs I teach photography at all levels and also specialise in digital workflow tuition and colour management. My passion is really for landscapes and seascapes together with macro photography and my beloved Norwegian Sea Eagles.
