Peanut classped firmly in hands, a male Red Squirrel of the Formby Point troop that was.
Sitting on a Red Pine stump, he's found the little parcel of peanuts I've put under the moss for him - you can just make them out at the bottom left corner of the image.
He had a stiff base to his tail, presumably from a mishap when he was a baby, and he would never put his tail up when down on the ground; but it never seemed to bother him

I am a full-time Natural History and Wildlife photographer from Cheshire, in the North West UK. As well as taking photographs I teach photography at all levels and also specialise in digital workflow tuition and colour management. My passion is really for landscapes and seascapes together with macro photography and my beloved Norwegian Sea Eagles.
