Artist's Description

A freshly emerged Four Spotted Chaser, or "Quad", has climbed up the stem of a Flag Iris to find some relative safety under the base of the flower head while it waits for its wings to harden.

During this time it is highly vulnerable to being eaten by birds, so it remains motionless until it can make its bid for freedom and the sanctuary of the woodland canopy that surrounds its home pool.

As well as taking photographs I teach photography at all levels and also specialise in digital workflow tuition and colour management. My passion is really for landscapes and seascapes together with macro photography and my beloved Norwegian Sea Eagles.
