Looking straight up into a perfect sky at a pair of Arctic Skuas as they turn to give chase to another poor unsuspecting victim.
Hugely efficient ariel robbers these birds patrol looking for other, slower and less agile food carrying seabirds to which they can lay chase and rob of their hard won catch.
Perfect airbourne "muggers" these birds make a full time living from "robbery with violence"; true winged pirates.
About Andy Astbury
I am a full-time Natural History and Wildlife photographer from Cheshire, in the North West UK. As well as taking photographs I teach photography at all levels and also specialise in digital workflow tuition and colour management. My passion is really for landscapes and seascapes together with macro photography and my beloved Norwegian Sea Eagles.
