The sun just breaks the horizon over the Hope Valley in the Peak District, illuminating the top of the cloud inversion that fills the valley from the foot of Mam Tor to the far side of Grindleford.
The plume of steam in the distance if from the chimney stack at the Hope Cement Works.

I am a full-time Natural History and Wildlife photographer from Cheshire, in the North West UK. As well as taking photographs I teach photography at all levels and also specialise in digital workflow tuition and colour management.
