A Red Squirrel taking a tentative sip of water from a very cold Lakeland river.
The slightly harsh sunlight emphasises the hairs of the squirrels glossy fur and the tail, as well as the large crystals of pink orthoclase feldspar in the granite boulder the subject is standing on.
